its all about the presents, lets face it...
howdy all from the library once again! not long finished pbl, in which i was chairing, which i dont mind, because then i dont have to talk as much about the stuff i'm supposed to know; i can direct other people and ask questions and make it look like i know what they're talking about, tee hee. i havent done the work this week because of my birthday and going home this weekend, so i suppose it will come back and bite me on the bum come exams. oh well, i've got four weeks of SSM from next monday so plenty of time to catch up (depending on what i have to do for this module...). i'm also hoping that i can get a few visits in seeing as i wont have to worry about timetables of pbl and rotations, but as this ssm is a clinical one i may still be stuck at the royal during the daytime. will have to wait and see.
wow, i'm really hungry... there was no milk when i got up today so i had to forgo my cereal for breakfast :'( had crumpets, melon, raisins and a yogurt instead, but my stomach is growling again now and i have aerobics at 5 :S i'll just have to utilise my glycogen that got stored up after this weekend's excesses...
saturday was pretty kick-ass. apart from the food and the fireworks and the free alcohol, it was so great to see my friends and family again, and joe's mates are pretty kewl too. em and kate are as gorgeous and fantastic as ever, meg is still the sark-meister and martyn was just like he used to be, but more grown-up. so yeah, funness :D went to see narnie on sunday and she's sent me back here with a biiig bag full of food, so that'll save me some pennies! i should stop thinking about food, its making my stomach growl again...
got a lift there and back with john, which was great as it meant i didnt have to rush around sunday morning trying to get to the station on time and it was door-to-door service, much faster and far more comfortable. so thanks john :) it also meant i didnt have to carry all my luggage around, which was fantastic as i got (woo!) shiny new fencing kit of my very own for my birthday! the jacket was a tad on the small side so that's being replaced, and it works out pretty well because the cost of the jacket is about the same as people paid for the xmas portion... i know what i mean, lol.. so i now have a chest protector (yay! no more bruised bosoms!), a half-plastron, a mask, a glove, a shiny foil and a bag to put it all in :D got lots of other nice stuff too: celtic cross necklace from mummy and daddy, some lovely ralph lauren perfume from em and kate, a cookbook and chocolate from meg, baileys from my bro (bought with his own dosh, no less), some new pjs (cant have too many pjs! plus my old ones are getting rather tatty), and lots of bits from uni friends. not going to list them cos i have to go over to the sports centre soon to get all sweaty.
so i will leave this here. we will adjourn interfrastically.
