new term resolutions and the twiggies

hello folks

my last night at home for dunno how long tonight :( we're having a celebratory dad curry (ie dad makes it, we dont curry him. duh...) and i shall probably indulge in a glass of wine or three. you know, sophisticated, like. actually i'll probably drop asleep after the first one, i was on an early shift this morning - up at 5:30am after only four and a half hours sleep. boo. i meant to go to bed a lot earlier than that, but we didn't take em and kate home until about ten, then mum was talking to dag and bev, and me and the twiggies were laughing at some old msn conversations emma had saved on her computer, ahh class... so we didnt leave until twelve, the drive home is about half an hour, so i forwent my shower but still didnt go to bed until almost one. blee.

had fun while they were here though. on thursday we went to see some people at school, but not many people were available and i was growing ever conscious of the growling noises my stomach was making... then later we went out, apparently to celebrate mark's birthday, but that was on the 2nd jan. hmm. but was kewl anyway. we went to the pit & pendulum for cocktails (sloth & envy = gorgeous but a bit too much for just two people to manage, especially after previously partaking of a glass or two of lust...) and then feeling a little queasy moved on to rock city. i took advantage of the shots for a pound and had three vodkas, got happily drunk and proceeded to dance like a mad thing with joe (who had never been to RC before but acted like a pro. good one joe, you fooled me :D) and anyone else who joined in. i got some glass in the sole of my shoe, and stupidly forgetting i was wearing my green canvas boots and not my docs, banged my foot really hard toe down on the floor to try and shift it, resulting in a cracked and bruised toenail. nice one mills. we got a taxi back with shaun then decided to make some food when we got in. and set the smoke alarm off. oops. but no-one noticed so shhh. finally crashed on the living room floor at about 4am. friday was really lazy, we made eggs n bacon (turkey bacon for me) and watched some crappy james dean melodrama, washed pots, did other unmemorable things... later on i phoned ian (mmmm ian) to find out how his exams went, while em, kate and joe started watching donnie darko. kewl film. then after dinner we took them home.

aw, i know i say this every time, but i really do love em and kate. quoting bon jovi (which conveniently is playing right now) i'd live and die for them, steal the sun from the sky for them...

i'll have to leave it there, owing to my non-eloquence, but you kind of get the gist.

hmm, this entry is turning out longer than i expected. oh well.

i have some new term resolutions for this semester:
number 1: i'm going to go to the aerobics class at carnatic house and burn off this christmas flab. at 1.50 a class and 5 minutes walk away i really have no excuse.
number 2: i'm going to take my glass paints and related articles and do some hippy crafty type things so i don't seem such a boring bland loser.
number 3: even though i am going to fail these formative assessments i will use the rest of the week to finish my notes and get up to date on last term's work, so i can start this term's work with a clear conscience
number 4: i will not make excuses up to miss ballet, i will go to every class, even though i am the crappest one there, and improve my technique so that i am not the crappest one there.
number 5: i will use the ab roller for at least five minutes every day and get back the stomach and buns i had two summers ago.
