i'm here, just like i said, though it's breaking every rule i've ever made...

i had such a nice day yesterday.

it was dad's birthday, so i got up and went into mum and dads' room to give him his card and present, then went downstairs and baked a banana-toffee cake without a recipe, which actually turned out really well. even though it meant i went to the optician's without having had breakfast :-S we got there early though so mum bought some bananas from a greengrocer and i had one of those. my eyes have changed slightly so i'm getting new lenses and best of all, new frames! i've had these since i started wearing specs when i was 14, lol...

we got back from the opticians and i had some cereal for lunch, tried my cake, and gave some to mamma and daddad, who thought it was very nice and i had to try and remember how i'd made it so mamma could have a go. then me and mum went into nottingham so i could finally get the new shoes i've been after for ages - doc marten black chunky Tbars. mmmmmm doc martens... also bought some more stripy socks, two necklaces, a ring and a smoothie :-D so quite a good day!

after shopping we nipped in to see sharon, who actually looked quite well, and she gave me the christmas present she couldn't find in december, lol, then it was home, to change and go to leonardo's for daddy's birthday meal, which was luffely, and i had something new - salsa di gamboretto (a prawn and tomato pasta thing. v nice.) and a slice of some fruity thing for dessert, so i didnt feel so guilty.

we walked back and a little later sang happy birthday to dad and gave him his cookie (which he later squashed by leaning on it, silly billy) while i spent most of the night trying, not very successfully i have to admit, not to cry, because i didnt want to leave again.

but i did. got up this morning around half eight after being woken at six by some inconsiderate bug buzzing outside my window, we packed up, then left at about half twelve. my room looks quite nice, i am grudgingly admitting. the curtain over the top window looks better than the messy (arty) ripped up posters and my new lights give it a more warm and cosy feel. the cleaners moved my furniture around to how it was at the beginning of the year but to be honest i dont mind it like that. i have the small light above my bed now so i dont have to trip over stuff after i've turned the light off.

well, i have to be in for a nine am lecture tomorrow, so i'm going t leave this here. rest assured i will be updating again soon when i have free time/am bored/am supposed to be revising.
