Bienvenidos!

taxi driver in gun terror! london? nope... nottingham? nope... huddersfield.

last day of january, and i'm enjoying my brief respite from PBL before it starts all over again this afternoon. i read through this module on saturday - it looks so pointless, we seem to have covered most of it before... oh well, should make it easier this time around then.

went to huddersfield this weekend! it was so great to see em and kate again, although i dont think i've ever spent to much time in my pyjamas... when i got there dag and bev were still around so they picked me up from the station and drove us to em and kate's house (which, by the way, is amazing!), where i had a bite to eat, then we went out to meet tim, vicky, jeff and guy at the union. it's all changed since last year, looks very kewl. i went to get some cash before me moved on into town and was horrified to find two tangerine scally girls dressed in bunny ears squawking about how great Kirby is... i thought i'd got away from all that! nooooo! but we soon left them behind and bitched about them all the way into town. we went to the camel club, which looks a bit like this desert-themed place but was full of grebs and rockers, and i was wearing my liv uni fencing top and feeling very smug. we didnt stay for long there as tim invited us back to his place for drinks. i protested a bit cos we'd paid to get in, but tim bought me a drink anyway so it was ok. we got back to his at about half twelve and sat around talking and drinking for a bit, and i ate about two bowls of coco pops, them someone put dodgeball on so we sat around watching that. em went to sleep about halfway through though. we got back to her house at somewhere around 3:45 and stayed up talking for ages, so didnt get to sleep until almost dawn. slept in til almost twelve though, so that made up for it!

on saturday, their birthday, kate came down into emma's room and they sat and opened their presents, and both of them managed to spill these chocolate things onto the floor, lol... they were saying at some point that the house is haunted - they hear footsteps on the stairs when no-one is in. i think i heard some on saturday night, but it may have been my imagination. we made breakfast/lunch at about half two in the afternoon and decided to get dressed not long after that as we were supposed to be meeting people in revolution for drinks before heading off to frankie and benny's for dinner. i wore my new shoes but neglected to take a coat, which was annoying, but i didnt know if we'd be going anywhere afterwards and i didnt want to have to carry it if we were...

revolution was fun, no-one else had arrived when we got there so we ordered drinks (i had a long island iced tea which i managed to make last an hour - was quite impressed with that!) and people started turning up not long after. we went off to F&B's at about 8:15 and some people i didnt know were already there, so we sat down and waited for guy before ordering. it was so much fun, emma was quite giggly and her and kate wished each other happy birthday with helium voices, lol.. and some of bob's housemates brought a cake and they dimmed the lights and lit candles and some people sang... then later we went to this place called the cornerhouse, which was a bit quiet and i sat thinking about stuff for the most part whilst em and kate entertained their other friends.

we got home not too late, and when we got back there was a police car just outside their house - found out yesterday that someone had been shot further down the street :S spent another lazy day hanging around in pyjamas on sunday before i had to go back. we got to the station a little before five but it turned out the train was delayed and we ended up hanging around for an hour chav-spotting...

so i got back a bit later than planned, and stayed up watching the green mile and typing up my comm skills interviews ready for today. the film made me cry again, although not to the same extent as last time, thank god!

this entry's been a bit bland i think. i always seem to write things just as they happened and not really put any personality into it... but meh, never mind.

i meant to write back to lisa as well today but i've been doing this... will do that soon, and write to kathryn and martyn... and i brought my swimming stuff but apparently there's a lecture at four... grr. might see how long that goes on for, see if i can squeeze a swim in before the committee meeting. if not, oh well, can go on friday.

anyway, should be off now, have the interview tour in about 15 minutes.
