kicking ass!

you know you have those days when you just feel fantastic and sooo sexy? i'm having a day like that today. after the past week's non-stop activity i'm incredibly stiff and achey but damn do i feel good! part of the reason for this is yesterday. i decided at the last minute to enter an open beginners foil competition hosted by the liverpool fencing club and i'm so glad i did because after kicking ass i managed to bag the silver medal! go me! i won every single one of my bouts except the one that decided who got gold, so i was really pleased. kind of annoyed that i missed the gold but pleased i got so far, especially after my abysmal performance at fencing on thursday and saturday. so yeah, feeling pretty good. plus yesterday evening i had my first proper bass/music theory lesson from steve, which was pretty kewl and very useful, and he's given me some homework to be getting on with so i'm looking forward to that.
i really should get going soon, find books and get food shopping and do work, and maybe write to martyn and possibly ring people. hmm.
