Bienvenidos!

entry, interrupted

the lack of sleep is catching up with me...

first of all, a brief synopsis of my day-to-day activities, then a discussion on 'What Happened Tuesday Night, and the Events Which Precipitated This and Those Which Followed Thereafter.' if i have time.

went to the walker gallery with mario last friday - i had never been before so he told me i had to go, and offered to show me around. it was so much fun picking out random little details from the pictures and sculptures that just made them mean something else altogether, and i dont think i've ever laughed so much in a museum! then on saturday went fencing, and as it was Del's birthday the fencers met up in the evening for drinks before going on to time tunnel. i was pleasantly surprised by the turn-out - even mario went and actually stuck around instead of heading off home. got cornered by heather and susan talking about dresses and accessories, but i let myself do the girly thing briefly before reshuffling and sitting with some of the guys. TT was fun; wasnt intending to get drunk that night, but i saw matt, which shook me up a bit, so immediately had vodka, which probably wasnt the best coping response... i spent about half the night sat between mario and gavin on this bench where we were stationed, with mario's arm draped over the backrest, looking suspiciously like it was around my shoulder from a certain angle... he also sat and talked to me for a bit after the matt encounter, which was nice. i've been fine bumping into him since then tho, so that's good.

looking at ordering a body wire and some replacement bits for my epee at the mo. should get paid for the tour guiding soon, so i'll have a bit more cash...

anyway, sunday i went back to the walker with mario, as we'd only got around half on the friday. we were in one gallery walking on tiptoe around the edge of the room, trying to avoid the creaky bits of floor, when a couple of german tourists came in and gave us a very strange look. what, you have to behave in a museum?! the last room was a bit boring after a bit, some contemporary art based on traditional indian works, but the artists themselves were wnadering round the gallery so we stayed for a bit longer before going to iceland and tesco to get food for mike's later. incidentally, going there tonight so i may not finish this entry before i have to leave.

yeah, actually i should get heading off soon, not sure where i'm supposed to meet people. will update again interfrastically... (may be monday)

ciao!
