P A R T.. why?

hello from scouseland everybody!

lots of stuff happening since the last update, not least my moving back here, but maybe i should do things chronologically. well i would, but i cant actually remember the last date i made an entry sooo who cares :)

finished work, all fine and dandy, paid up for the week and said goodbye to the sodding place. i'll probably be back for their party but hopefully wont have to stay too long, and i can wear what i like! hellooo provocative tshirt slogans... umm went shopping for clothes and books and stuff, i spent �80 in waterstones!! my god.. then in tescos i got a pair of trousers which were on a 'long' hanger but when i wore them yesterday i found they were actually standard length, i just hadnt noticed in the changing room. grr. but they were only seven quid so it wont hurt too much to get another pair.

so the big bit of news.. amy's party, my what fun and frolics and revelations and realisations went on that night...

i spent about the first hour feeling a bit adrift so i hung around with amy then started talking to three guys who were hanging around near the food table, which i was haunting, jealously guarding the chicken skewers. i spent a while drinking vodka and listening to macho tales of yore, then got bored and wandered off to the bathroom as something to do. at some point nicky and girl turned up, and so did amy's friend 'sexy' matt, whom i was talking to about fencing and martial arts. vodka does that to me. amy by this point was getting rather drunk and calling me her sexy bitch, which was fine by me, and i did a bit of hairy dancing when i could stand up without falling off my heels. yes i wore heels. what a bad idea.

i went upstairs at some point, and in amy's room met a pixie girl - toni. we got chucked out of amy's room, which was a shame because her bed was so comfy and i was so sleepy, but managed to bag a sofa, which was better than the floor. rubber trousers are not good for sleeping in, but then again, it was tricky to sleep what with people letting off party poppers and blowing hooters at stupid hours in the morning, then deciding that everyone needed to be awake since they were. grr.

so saturday was spent in a bit of a daze. i was supposed to be packing but all i wanted to do was go to sleep. em and kate came round in the afternoon. their nanna died on thursday, it was quite sudden and unexpected but when i saw them they seemed to be coping rather well, that or putting on a happy face. i couldnt help thinking when i heard, maybe it was better this way, because now she wont have to suffer any longer and bev and everyone wont have to watch her slipping away. it still doesnt make it any more pleasant. it makes me think about my own family though, wondering how long i'll have them for. it does make me appreciate the time we'll still have though.

hum.. but anyway.

we dropped be meg's on the way to take em and kate home, and i was really touched because she gave me a potted lavender.. it probably sounds a bit silly to say that but one thing i have always admired about meg is her knowledge of the green things, so to me it was quite a special thing to receive. and so far it hasnt wilted, so i'm doing ok.

sunday we left in the afternoon after finally getting everything packed (even though when we got here remembered stuff we hadnt brought) and spent the rest of the day unpacking and getting a bit of food. it's amazing how much i think about food now.. planning dinner occupies at least a third of my working mental capacity, lol

well i should probably go soon, thinking of dinner again and my bladder's trying to tell me something

there's something else i should probably get out in the open on here as well..

but i'll leave that for another day.
