c'mon spring, burst forth!
well, its Eostar, the spring equinox, in a little over two weeks. the celebration of new life, and not, as the christians would have us believe, the death and resurrection of christ. did you ever wonder why it's called Easter? a version of Eostar, which is named for the goddess Oestre. incidentally, this is also the root of the word oestrogen, the hormone that confers fertility in women. so nothing to do with death or resurrection at all. and how do the christians explain easter eggs? egg... fertility... life... nothing to do with the so-called 'easter sunday', yet they have been plagiarising the old traditions for 2000 years... it does annoy me.
