Losing reception...

OK. Can someone please explain to me why a 'Wedding Breakfast' is so called when it appears to be blatantly a lunch?!

That has been confusing me for weeks!

Started looking for reception venues this week. I'm not too thrilled with the propaganda we've had from the hotels so far. �2000 'booking fees', up to �500 room hire plus up to �50 per head food charges! What?! Our wedding is going to be at 4pm so we don't need a wedding lunch - wanted to go straight for the evening buffet like Ana and Amilcar did at their reception in Panama. But I don't know if we'd stil have to pay the same as a party which will be there from 2pm. Will have to ask the coordinator people, methinks. The other option is hiring out a hall or something and having the freedom to have our own catering and stuff, but then we don't get a master of ceremonies and a room on-site. Hmm. Will have to think about this. Would that we knew someone with a big back garden we could take over for the evening...

SuperMoo is currently on the phone talking to his family. I am not concentrating enough to be able to follow the conversation. He has a book review to do by 4pm tomorrow then he's free to be accosted and consulted over all things W, muahahaha! I think I am going to end up either going crackers or driving him crazy...

Let's hope for neither.
