Fireworks galore!

Went home over the weekend to see family and give Dad the chance to let of his annual fireworks. There were no major mishaps this year, save for the very last rocket, which went up about 10 feet before exploding. Dad hid behind the tree. He was ok.

Narnie came out of hospital and is looking much better, and Mum has had a couple of counselling sessions. I dont know if they're working yet; she still doesn't like getting in the car, but now she's getting out the house more and doesn't want to run away from people all the time. She's been going to the gym about four times a week too and is looking bootiful. Joe came down with an ear infection, so Mum went up with Julie to fetch him, only for him to decide he wanted to go out with his friends. He got in at 5:30am the next morning. Mum was not impressed. Bob is turning into a surly teenager and spends all day hiding in Joe's room on the computer. Upside of this was that I was free to use the downstairs one and call Mario without having to boot Bob off. Saw Em, Kate and family and Meg & Jane as well, which was nice. Em and Kate have both had their hair cut in a similar style, which I thought was quite funny, and Kate nearly left wearing my jumper. We had a fun half hour playing 'Guess the Utensil' - Mum always buys Dag strange kitchen implements for his birthday - we've had orange segment freezers, a sundae spoon (which looked like a dentist's mirror) and this one looked like a tiny little canoe paddle with different coloured ends. It ended up being a peanut butter and jam spreader with colour coded ends 'to eliminate the risk of cross-contamination'. Who comes up with these things?!

Came back yesterday afternoon and in the evening we went to the firework display at Sefton Park. It was pretty good, apart from me having a bursting bladder all the way through. Flippin' cider went straight through me... Then I was looking forward to getting an earlyish night, but everyone came back to our house and we ended up ordering pizza and watching Gothika until late. Oh well. And tonight I'm busy again... Man, I need a break! And it's still six weeks until the Christmas holidays (sad face).

Anyway, I should use the rest of this three-hour hiatus to get some work done, then hopefully get home after today's tutorial. Laters all.
